Better Call Saul – Season 1

After completing the menus for the hugely popular AMC series ‘Breaking Bad,’ we were excited to learn that the show was not only getting a spin-off prequel series, based on the fan-favorite character Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk), but Sony asked us to re-enter the world created by Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould  to create menus for this series as well. For Season 1, we were asked to bring it to life to the key art by adding motion to what started out as a still image of Saul standing at a phone booth. Once we did that, Sony made the unusual request to do the same for the DVD menus, but use a completely different piece of Season 1 art, this time focused on the top of Saul’s head. Both Gilligan and Gould were heavily involved and asked us to also create a bunch of really fun, show related icons to act as Easter eggs for both formats of the menus.
